Ruslan V. Piven

Born on January 16, 1991, in the village of Ostryky, Bilozerkivskyi district, Kyiv region. Completed 9 grades of general education school in the village of Ostryky, in 2009 graduated from the Technological and Economic College of the Bilozerkiv National Agrarian University with a specialty in "Installation and maintenance of refrigeration compressor machines and installations." In 2010-2011, he served his mandatory military service in the 1129th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1232 - the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). In the spring of 2014, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 1129th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1232 - the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). He completed a specialized professional training course in the military specialty "Sniper," after which he was transferred to the 9th company of the 3rd battalion of the 30th separate guards mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, the city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was involved in the battles for the mound of Savur-Mohyla and the village of Stepaniivka in the Shakhtarsky district of Donetsk region. In the spring of 2015, he was discharged to the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the summer of 2015, he served under contract in the 199th training center of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2900, the city of Zhytomyr). Since the summer of 2016, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 28, 2016, Sergeant Pyven was killed by a sniper's bullet while performing a combat mission to provide fire support for the platoon-tactical group of the 199th training center in the industrial zone of the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. On October 1, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Ostryky, Bilozerkivskyi district. In October 2016, a memorial plaque was installed in the city of Zhytomyr on the territory of military unit A2900, where Sergeant Pyven served.
