Ruslan V. Prykhodko

Sergeant Ruslan Prikhodko was killed on October 11, 2023 in the area of the village of Lyman Pershyi in the Kharkiv region. The defender's life was cut short by enemy mortar and artillery shelling while he was at his positions. The warrior did not live to see his 49th birthday by two months. Ruslan was born in the village of Sadove, Mykolaiv region. After finishing school, he served in the military. From 1996 for six years he served under contract in the army. Later he got married and moved with his beloved to the village of Slobidka in the Rivne region. The couple had two daughters, whom the man adored and devoted his free time to. For a while, he worked as a gas boiler operator at the Slobidska school. Before the war, he traveled to Poland, where he was a laborer. When the full-scale war began, the man went to defend his Homeland and family. Ruslan served in the 127th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He bravely and courageously carried out combat missions, which were highly valued by his comrades-in-arms. "Dad was a brave and strong person. He believed until the last that he would soon return home to his family, did not lose heart and defended the country to the last," said Maria Prikhodko. "Ruslan was not only a brave warrior, but also an outstanding person. He always lent a helping hand to those in need. His kindness and sincere soul are an example to follow," noted the Ostroh City Council. The hero was buried in the village of Slobidka in the Rivne region. At home, Ruslan was awaited by his wife and two daughters.
