Ruslan V. Sevastianov (Seva)

38-year-old Sergeant Ruslan Sevastyanov (call sign Seva) was killed on August 30, 2022 in the hospital as a result of a mine-explosive injury he sustained a week earlier between the settlements of Borshchiv and Slobozhanske in the Kharkiv region. Ruslan was born in the village of Dubivka, Khmilnytskyi region. He graduated from the Academy of Municipal Management, where he obtained a law degree. Since 2004, he lived in Kyiv. He worked as a regional sales director at a company that sells auto parts. In his free time, he played billiards, played volleyball, and participated in volleyball tournaments. He loved sports, active recreation, and fishing. He was a positive and optimistic person. During the full-scale war, Ruslan defended Ukraine in the ranks of the Special Forces "Witcher" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of a reconnaissance group. "Ruslan was a very kind, honest and decent person. Always with a smile, always in a positive mood, he charged and encouraged everyone. He was valued and followed. He is from the cohort of steel men. He did not hesitate and did not hide, from the first days he went to defend the country and was faithful to it until his last breath. He found himself in military affairs, and I always supported him and believed in him. For us with our daughter, he was, is and will always be a Hero of Ukraine," said the wife of the fallen soldier, Olga. The warrior was buried at the Berkovetsky cemetery in Kyiv. At home, Ruslan was awaited by his mother, wife and daughter.
