Ruslan V. Sokotukha

Sokotukha Ruslan Vitaliyovych was born on July 27, 1982 in the Talnivskyi district of Cherkasy region. He lived in the village of Ryzyne, Zvenyhorodskyi district, Cherkasy region. In 2001-2003, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2015-2016, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine. During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he held the position of senior grenadier of the grenade launcher platoon of the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi. He was killed on August 18, 2022 during a fierce battle in the Kharkiv region. He was buried in the village of Ryzyne, Zvenyhorodskyi district, Cherkasy region. For personal courage and selfless actions, displayed in the protection of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, Sokotukha Ruslan Vitaliyovych was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
