- Soldier Ruslan Tokar (call sign Rul) was killed on July 10, 2023, during a hostile mortar attack near the village of Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. The defender was 40 years old. Ruslan was born in the village of Parkhomivka in the Vinnytsia region. After graduating from secondary school, he obtained a professional education at the Vinnytsia Polytechnic College. He lived with his family in the village of Yaryshivka in the Vinnytsia region. He had his own business - a small workshop for the production of plastic windows. He was a very hardworking and diligent person, loved active recreation, fishing, and travel, and was a skilled handyman. During the full-scale invasion, on February 15, 2023, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a grenadier in the 3rd battalion, 9th company, 79th separate air assault brigade. "My beloved, dear, most precious. He was the air I couldn't exist without, the sun that gave me hope for the future, the water that made me move forward, the earth on which we stood firmly and bravely. Losing Ruslan, I lost a part of myself, we were one, we didn't need words to understand each other, so when he was killed and we weren't informed yet, I felt that something had happened to him. He was the best husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Always honest, kind, fair, hardworking, and ready to help everyone. Ruslan will forever be in my heart and thoughts, I will wait until my last breath," said his wife Maryna. The defender was buried in the village of Yaryshivka, Vinnytsia region. Ruslan is survived by his wife and two daughters. Posthumously, the warrior was awarded the Order of Courage, III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
