Ruslan V. Zorin (Master)

Senior Sergeant Ruslan Zorin (call sign Master) was killed on January 17, 2023 in the battle for the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The warrior remained forever 39 years old. Ruslan was born in Kyiv. He graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". He always had an active civic position. He participated in the Revolution of Dignity. Later, he began to defend his native state. Since 2015, he has been fighting in the ATO / JFO. He served in the "Kyivska Rus" battalion and defended the Luhansk region, in particular, he participated in the battles for the city of Popasna. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man continued to fight for Ukraine. Ruslan carried out complex combat missions as part of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. During his service, the warrior was awarded the MDU badge "Badge of Honor" and the GUR award "Honorary Distinction". "They said about him that first his smile enters the room, and then Zorin himself. He is the heart of any company and the soul of everyone who had the happiness to know him. He is always everywhere and with everyone. A large part of each of us left with him: family, beloved, friends and just those who heard about him. The eyes that will forever smile at us," wrote the deceased's friend Andrey Kruglyak. The scout was buried at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. Ruslan is survived by his mother, sister, beloved, other relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
