Ruslan Ya. Stebelskyi (Rulia)

31-year-old senior soldier Ruslan Stebelskyi (call sign Rulya) was killed on November 5, 2023 in the area of the village of Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv region. While carrying out a combat mission, he suffered a fatal explosive injury during an enemy missile attack. Ruslan was from the village of Nyzhnya Vovcha in the Lviv region. He studied at the local school. He then obtained the profession of an electrician at the Drohobych Vocational School. He served his military service in Crimea. In 2017, he got married. In peacetime, he worked in construction abroad. He was passionate about tractors and cars. The man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in November 2022. He served in the ranks of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He was a senior sapper-grenadier of the engineer-sapper unit. During his service, the military received the awards "War Veteran", "Participant in Combat Operations", and the "Chest Cross" from the commander of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade. "I loved him with all my heart and was waiting for him to come home to us with our daughter. Ruslan was an honest and cheerful man. I am proud of my husband, and our daughter is proud of her dad! He gave the most valuable thing for Ukraine - his life," said the wife of the fallen. The defender was buried in his native village. Ruslan is survived by his parents Yevheniia and Yaroslav, brother Vitalii, wife Sofiia, and daughter Adriana.
