Ruslan Yu. Ruzhytskyi (Kriuher)

Senior soldier Ruslan Ruzhytskyi (call sign Kruger) was killed on October 17, 2023 in the village of Verbove, Zaporizhia region, while carrying out a combat mission. The defender remained forever 26 years old. Ruslan was born in the city of Vinnytsia. There he graduated from a technical college, and later obtained a higher education at the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University. After graduating in 2018, he decided to become a professional soldier and signed a contract with the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 8th separate special purpose regiment "Jaguar", took part in the war in eastern Ukraine. He was awarded the medal "Participant of the Anti-Terrorist Operation" and many certificates. In his free time, he was interested in football, cars, computer games and playing the guitar. During the full-scale invasion, he held the position of a mortar man in the 14th brigade of the operational purpose of the National Guard of Ukraine "Chervona Kalyna". "He was an absolutely bright person, almost two meters tall good-natured... Erudite and well-read. Unfailing when someone needed help. He had many friends and was the soul of the company. And he also loved animals very much. Our with my wife's Universe, the only son..." - said his father Yuriy Ruzhytskyi. The soldier was buried in the village of Parpurivtsi, Vinnytsia region. At home, Ruslan was awaited by his mother and father.
