Semen O. Khavluk

Soldier Semen Khavluk was killed on April 26, 2023 in battle with Russian invaders near the city of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. The fighter was forever 34 years old. Semen was born in the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi, Chernihiv region. He studied at the local secondary school No. 2. Later, he obtained the profession of an electrician at the vocational school in the city of Slavutych. He served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then he returned home. He worked as a builder. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man decided to defend his native country to repel the invaders. He joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At first, he participated in the defense of his native land, and later became a serviceman of military unit A7105. He was an operator of the anti-tank unit. "He will forever remain an example of courage and resilience. Those who cared about the fate of Ukraine, who nurtured dreams of a better future and a peaceful tomorrow. Sleep peacefully, Hero. Good, bright memory of you will forever remain in our hearts," said the Novhorod-Siverskyi District State Administration. "Rest in peace, hero! We will remember you as a cheerful and kind person," wrote his friend Oleksandra. Semen was buried in his hometown. He left behind close relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
