- Junior Sergeant Semen Konyshev was killed on April 1, 2022, in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Rozdolne in the Donetsk region. The unit, in which the soldier served, was to establish a position near the settlement. The occupiers began an offensive and moved towards them in tanks, BMPs, and other equipment. Ukrainian soldiers engaged in battle, holding back the enemy's attack. However, Semen sustained a fatal injury. Semen was born and lived in Zaporizhzhia. After school, he studied at an industrial college. He then graduated from the Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy. Later, he obtained a higher education in economics. He initially worked as an electrical installer, then became a foreman, and eventually a lead engineer at a factory. After some time, he resigned. He went to work as a manager at a friend's firm, where he eventually became the deputy director. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was passionate about cars and engaged in sports. He loved fishing. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Semen joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of squad leader of the motorized infantry company of the 6th separate rifle battalion. "He loved his family, life, and everything around him very much. If there was ever a question he didn't know the answer to (although this was very rare), he would study it and provide an answer in the shortest possible time because he was very knowledgeable. He loved fishing very much and promised that we would go this year... It didn't happen. He could turn any ordinary day into a celebration," said his godfather and best friend, Pavlo Shevchuk. The hero was buried at the Osypenkivske cemetery in Zaporizhzhia. At home, Semen was awaited by his wife, daughter, relatives, and friends. Posthumously, the soldier was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
