Serhii A. Borsuk (Bars)

Soldier Serhii Borsuk (call sign Bars) was killed on July 16, 2023 in battle with Russian occupiers near the village of Lyman Pershyi in the Kharkiv region. The defender was 32 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Shediievo, Poltava region. After school, he studied at the Kherson Vocational Mechanical Engineering Lyceum, where he obtained the profession of electric and gas welder. In 2015-2016, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation as part of the 128th Separate Mechanized Brigade. After demobilization, he moved with his family to the village of Sokolova Balka. He worked at the LLC "Chysta krynytsia". He was passionate about technology, especially tractors. He spent his free time with his family or friends. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the man went to the front for the second time. He served in the 20th Separate Rifle Battalion. He was a anti-aircraft gunner in the anti-aircraft missile platoon. "Serhii was a loving father and husband, a support for his parents and brothers. He was a very good person and an example for his children," said his wife Olena. The warrior was buried in the village of Sokolova Balka, Poltava region. Serhii is survived by his parents, two brothers, wife and two daughters.
