Serhii A. Drozdov

Junior Sergeant Serhii Drozдов was killed in action on April 28, 2022, during the execution of a combat mission near the city of Izium in the Kharkiv region. In June, the defender would have turned 33 years old. Serhii was born and lived in the city of Bar, Vinnytsia region. In 2008, he graduated from the Bar Professional College of Transport and Construction with a specialization in "Operation and repair of lifting, transport, construction, and road machinery and equipment." After graduation, he went to serve in the local military unit - the 70th Separate Engineer Support Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a driver. In 2014, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). In 2012, he met his love - a girl named Oksana. A year later, the lovers got married. They raised two children: Vladyslav and Solomiya. Serhii tried to spend all his free time with his children and family. At the time of the full-scale war, Serhii continued to serve in his regiment. He held the position of platoon commander of the pontoon-bridge company. Together with his comrades, he remained faithful to his oath and military duty until his last breath. He was last at home in January 2022. And then he returned on a shield. "He was a very kind and sensitive person, a wonderful father to his children. We all miss him very much," said the widow of the deceased, Oksana. The serviceman was buried in his hometown. Serhii is survived by his mother, brother, wife, son, and daughter. Posthumously, Junior Sergeant Serhii Drozdvov was awarded the Order of "Courage" III degree.
