Serhii A. Kolisnyk (Senia)

26-year-old sailor Serhii Kolisnyk (call sign Senia) was killed on December 31, 2022 near the settlement of Opytne in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the soldier sustained fatal injuries as a result of a hostile shell hitting the bunker where he was located. Serhii was born in the village of Zhabokrychka, Vinnytsia region. He stuwas killed at the Piatkovska secondary school. After that, he obtained the profession of an electric gas welder at the Bashtansk Vocational School. He loved the road, so he worked as a driver, delivering construction materials. He was passionate about fishing, which was his favorite hobby and relaxation. In March 2022, the man joined the ranks of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He informed his loved ones about this with the words: "I cannot just sit still, knowing that our lands want to be captured, and my family is in danger." He served in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade. He was a driver of the grenade launcher section. "The best and only son, beloved husband, nephew and brother. He was like a breath of fresh air for many of his relatives and acquaintances. He really wanted a happy big family, so for the sake of this, in the first month of the war, he voluntarily took up the defense of the state. Always with a smile, courageous and brave. He defended the country until his last breath. I am very grateful to his parents for the wonderful upbringing of my beloved and for their support in the most difficult hour for us. Serhii will forever remain in our hearts... With loved ones, you do not part, you just stop being next to them. He is a Hero for the whole country," said the deceased's beloved Anastasiia. The defender was buried in the village of Piatkovka. Serhii is survived by his parents, brother, girlfriend and aunt.
