Serhii A. Kosko

Soldier Serhii Kosko was killed on July 16, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Lyman Pershyi in the Kharkiv region. The warrior was forever 30 years old. Serhii was from the village of Cherevakha in the Volyn region. He lived in the settlement of Tsuman. He received a secondary education. Most of his civilian life he worked as a builder. He dedicated his free time to his loved ones and friends. At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, on March 4, 2022, the man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He joined the ranks of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He held the position of reconnaissance gunner in the reconnaissance unit. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he fought in the Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. "Serhii is our Hero! He gave his life for our peace, although he was still so young. Those who knew him say that people like him are extremely rare. I am proud of my husband, and my daughter is proud of her father-Hero. A father with a capital letter. Serhii gave everything for us, for a free Ukraine and peace, he gave his life, having so many plans and unfulfilled dreams. He was a true patriot of his country," said his wife Vita. The military was buried in his native village. At home, Serhii was awaited by his mother, sister, wife and daughter, who was not even 2 years old at the time of his death.
