Serhii A. Lychman

Soldier Serhii Lychman (call sign Trainer) died on December 5, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Krynky in the Kherson region as a result of the enemy drone drop. The defender was 39 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Zelentsi in the Kyiv region. After graduating from school, he entered the Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, where he obtained a higher education in the specialty "Law". He served in the army. He was passionate about sports, cars, and was a very good cook. He lived with his family in Kyiv. He worked there in the patrol police. Recently, he had been working abroad. With the start of the full-scale war, he returned home and volunteered to go to the front. He held the position of driver-mechanic of the rocket systems laboratory of the 96th anti-aircraft missile brigade. Later, he was attached to the 18th battalion of the 35th separate marine brigade. "My husband Serhii was a courageous, brave, and the wisest person I have ever met in my life. I thank fate that I met and united my life with him, but, unfortunately, not for long. He is forever in my heart, my Hero," said his wife Yana. The body of the warrior was taken only after the exchange of fallen defenders in April 2024. The defender was buried in his native village. Serhii is survived by his parents, brother, and wife. Posthumously, the defender was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Myronivka, Kyiv Region".
