Serhii A. Sauliak

Senior soldier Serhiy Saulyak was killed on November 8, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Chervonopopivka in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 24 years old. Serhiy was born in the town of Kodima in the Odessa region. He graduated from the Kodima Vocational Technical School as a cook. He planned to study to become a police officer but did not have the time. He loved fishing and cared deeply for his family. From 2016 to 2019, he served under contract in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, participating in the ATO / JFO. Since 2018, he lived in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Before the invasion, he worked as a warehouseman in the recruitment department at the "Eva" hypermarket. With the onset of the full-scale war, he returned to the military and went to the front. He served in the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a grenade launcher. "He was like an angel, very kind and caring, never argued with anyone, never complained about anything. During the war, he was seriously wounded three times; the concussion even made it difficult for him to speak," said his older sister, Anastasia. The defender was buried in the village of Vodyane in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Serhiy is survived by his parents, sister, wife, two sons, other relatives, friends, and comrades.
