Serhii B. Danylchuk (Student)

Senior Lieutenant Serhiy Danyliuk was killed in action on July 4, 2022, in a battle for the village of Krasnopillia in Donetsk Oblast. The officer was 31 years old forever. Serhiy Danyliuk was born in the village of Lishchyn in Zhytomyr Oblast. The boy loved history, so he didn't hesitate for a long time with the choice of education. He graduated from the historical faculty of Zhytomyr State University named after Ivan Franko. However, the completion of his studies coincided with the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014. Instead of building a career, Serhiy went to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine without hesitation. There he received the call sign Student. At the time of the full-scale invasion, Senior Lieutenant Serhiy Danyliuk served in the 13th separate airborne assault battalion named after Hero of Ukraine Colonel Taras Senyuk of the 95th brigade. He held the position of commander of the machine gun platoon. Unfortunately, the rotation to Donbas for Student became the last one. "He loved Ukraine more than anything. He was a wonderful son to his parents, a wall of support for his younger sister, and a good friend to those who knew him," said the defender's sister Vera. Serhiy was buried in his native village in Zhytomyr Oblast. At home, his parents and sister were waiting for him.
