Serhii D. Baidaliuk (Rozmalovka)

Senior soldier Serhiy Baydaliuk (call sign Rozmaliuvka) was killed on August 5, 2022, in a battle for the city of Avdiivka in Donetsk Oblast during an enemy tank attack. Along with his comrades, he defended his position to the end. The fighter will forever remain 25 years old. Serhiy was born in the village of Nova Hreblya, Vinnytsia Oblast. He finished local school and entered Vinnytsia Vocational School No. 5, where he became a welder. Later, he served in the army. Fellow villagers remember him as a bright and sincere person, a good and faithful friend who knew how to give people joy. Serhiy worked as a salesman in a store. After the start of the full-scale invasion, Serhiy Baydaliuk decided to become a volunteer and went to the military commissariat. He became a gunner-operator, deputy commander of a combat vehicle in the 4th Separate Tank Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. "He was a cheerful guy, had many friends, loved to travel around Ukraine. He had 11 tattoos, that's why he got the call sign Rozmaliuvka. He had big plans for life, dreamed of starting his own business, getting married," said Serhiy's mother, Valentyna Baydaliuk. "Serhiy was a cheerful guy, well-known in our village, who did nothing bad to anyone. We are losing the best sons of our Motherland again," said Vitaliy Porkhun, a fellow villager of the defender. The hero was buried in the village of Strizhavka, Vinnytsia Oblast. At home, Serhiy's mother, brother, and fiancée were waiting for him.
