Serhii F. Hovorushchenko

Born on February 17, 1969, in the village of Luka-Barska, Bar district, Vinnytsia region. Graduated from high school. Lived in the city of Chernihiv. Worked as the head of the gas rescue service of the "Khivolokno" association in Chernihiv, then as a blacksmith in the workshop "Kuzma." On April 24, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as the head of the engineering service of the 13th territorial defense battalion "Chernihiv-1" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V2278). Since April 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On October 11, 2014, Senior Lieutenant Hovorushchenko was killed while on duty in the Luhansk region from shrapnel wounds as a result of a grenade explosion. On October 16, 2014, he was buried at the "Yatsevo" cemetery in Chernihiv.
