Serhii H. Dzhenzhera (Tsyhan)

Soldier Serhii Dzhenzher (call sign Tsyhan) was killed on December 29, 2023 in Merefa, Kharkiv region. The warrior remained forever 46 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Khmilnyk, Kyiv region. He studied at the school in the village of Kliuky, and then obtained the profession of a tractor driver. He served in the army, and later remained to serve under a contract. In civilian life, he worked at POSPC "Ichnianskе", STOV "Aliton". He was a foreman at the "Plastmas" plant, and then got a job at the Pryluky garment factory. He returned to Ichnia in 2020, where he began working as a tractor driver at FOP "Oliinyk S.V.". In his free time, he was engaged in gardening, carpentry, and plant growing. "My husband was very calm, friendly, and sociable. He had many friends and could find a common language with all people," his wife Svitlana said. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, in March 2022, Serhii voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At first he served as part of the 26th Artillery Brigade named after General-Lieutenant Roman Dashkevych, and then in military unit A7097. He held the position of driver of the 4th anti-aircraft machine gun section of the 2nd anti-aircraft machine gun platoon of the 2nd anti-aircraft machine gun company. He defended Ukraine in the Kharkiv direction. Serhii was buried in the cemetery in Ichnia. He is survived by his wife, brother, sister and daughter. In honor of the defender, a memorial plaque was opened on the facade of the school in the village of Kliuky in the Kyiv region, where he once studied.
