Serhii H. Kondratenko

Defender Serhiy Kondratenko was killed on May 26, 2023 near the village of Ivanivske in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. Two months prior, the warrior had turned 36 years old. Serhiy was born in Donetsk. He studied at the Donetsk Technical School of Industrial Automation. Later, he obtained a higher education at the Kharkiv National Academy of Municipal Economy. In 2013, he moved to Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. He worked as an accountant at the enterprise "Ukrainian Bacon". During the full-scale war, the man left for the Vinnytsia region with his family. There, he found a job as a heat treatment workshop master at LLC "Vinnytsia Poultry Factory". In his free time, he loved to read, relax in nature, watch movies, and spend time with his family. At the end of 2022, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 80th separate airborne assault brigade, holding the position of a grenadier. He dreamed of liberating his native Donetsk region and returning home, but it was not to be. "My Serhiy was the best father and husband, loving, honest, and brave. He always cared for his family. For me, he was not only a husband, but also the best friend. Beloved, you will forever be in our hearts..." wrote the wife of the fallen, Olha. The paratrooper was buried at the Mars Field of the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. Serhiy left behind a wife and two daughters, who were 14 and 12 years old at the time of his death.
