Serhii H. Kriuchko (Kriuk)

Sergeant Serhii Kriuchko (call sign Kriuk) was killed on June 14, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Zaliznianske in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 28 years old. Serhii was from the village of Bilka in the Sumy region. He graduated from Trostianets Vocational School No. 25 and obtained the qualification of driver, mechanic, and agricultural tractor operator. He worked at the railway in the city of Trostianets. Before the invasion, he was a driver in the "Yevropa-Trans-Agro" company. He was passionate about hunting and fishing. During the full-scale war, the man fought for his Motherland in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of rifleman in the rifle company of the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi. "The best man, the best dad, son, brother. A very good person who would come to the aid of even strangers at any moment. Responsible, sociable, always defended the truth, honor, and freedom. Forever in our hearts," said the wife of the fallen defender, Liudmyla. The hero was buried in his native village. He is survived by his mother, sister, wife, and daughter. Serhii Kriuchko was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
