Serhii H. Modin

Modin Serhii Heorhiiovych was born on November 15, 1975. He resided in the city of Poltava. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was mobilized and was at the front as part of the 5th Separate Assault Battalion of the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade. He was killed in action on May 6, 2022, while repelling an enemy attack near the village of Malinivka in the Polohy district of Zaporizhzhia region. The farewell ceremony took place on May 13, 2022, in Poltava, near the Holy Assumption Cathedral.
