  Born on June 25, 1987, in the village of Shyroka Hreblya, Khmilnytskyi district, Vinnytsia region. Graduated from a general education school. In July 2015, he was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Khmilnytskyi District Military Commissariat of Vinnytsia region. He served as a squad commander in the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukacheve, Zakarpattia region). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On October 5, 2016, Sergeant Shevchuk was killed while on duty at a checkpoint near the urban-type settlement of Nikolske in Donetsk region. On October 8, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Shyroka Hreblya, Khmilnytskyi district, Vinnytsia region.
