- Fighter Serhiy Komir (call sign Sedy) was killed on October 7, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Novoyehorivka in the Luhansk region. The defender was 55 years old. Serhiy was born in the town of Yarova in the Donetsk region. He graduated from the local school. Immediately after that, he got a job at the Izium Optical Plant. After working there for less than a year, he went to serve in the army. He then worked as a locksmith-automaton at the locomotive depot in the city of Krasny Lyman. In recent years, he was an employee of the comprehensive service at the Sviatohirsk institution of general secondary education. He loved children very much, so he worked there with great enthusiasm. At home, he engaged in beekeeping and loved nature. When he did household chores, he sang. He loved spending all his free time with his family. During the full-scale Russian invasion, he joined the Territorial Defense of Donetsk region. He served in the 109th separate territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought for his native land and, unfortunately, died there. "He was always a responsible, honest, and fair person. Very cheerful and kind. He never refused help to anyone who turned to him. Always smiling, with a sense of humor. He loved Ukraine and was proud to be Ukrainian. 'If you do not love your parents and your homeland, then you are not Ukrainian,' he always adhered to these words in life," said the daughter of the deceased, Yana. The defender was buried in his native village. Serhiy is survived by his wife, son, daughter, and granddaughters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
