Serhii I. Komisarov (Komisar)

40-year-old serviceman Serhii Komisarov (call sign Komisar) was killed on August 9, 2022 during the deoccupation of the Kharkiv region. Thanks to the efforts of Ukrainian defenders, the village of Bairak was liberated, and Serhii gave the most precious thing - his life for this. The man was born in the urban-type settlement of Novosilka in the Donetsk region, graduated from the local school. He obtained the specialty of a tractor-machine operator in agricultural production at the Vocational School No. 146 in Sloviansk. For the next 14 years, he worked in a hospital, holding the position of a driver at an ambulance station. In 2020, he graduated from the Bakhmut College of Transport Infrastructure with a specialty in "Transport Technologies in Railway Transport". He worked for the railway. He settled in Lyman. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, driving a car and just living. During the full-scale war, Serhii joined the 518th battalion of the 1st separate special purpose brigade named after Ivan Bohun of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "My beloved husband was the closest and best in my life! A loving husband and father. A true loyal friend, a good positive person. Smart and persistent. A courageous, strong, dedicated to his Motherland warrior. Forever alive! He sincerely loved his relatives and loved ones and his country, so he courageously went to defend Ukraine from the Russian invaders and for it, for us, gave the most precious - HIS LIFE!" - said his wife Vira. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Central Cemetery in Kryvyi Rih. Serhii is survived by his parents, wife, sister, son and daughter.
