Serhii I. Letka (Nichnyi Voron)

Soldier Serhii Letka (call sign Night Raven) was killed on February 11, 2023, in battle with the occupiers near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. The warrior was forever 22 years old. Serhii was born in the city of Pershotravensk, Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied at the local secondary school No. 4. Then he obtained the profession of a cook at the Pershotravensk vocational school. After graduation, he was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine for military service. In his free time, he loved to cook. In 2021, the young man decided to connect his life with the army and signed a contract with the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in a storm brigade, holding the position of a reconnaissance machine gunner. With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the young warrior, together with his comrades-in-arms, continued to perform his duties and protect the integrity and independence of Ukraine. Serhii dreamed of returning home with a victory, hugging his loved ones and his young wife. Unfortunately, he returned home on a shield. "A very decent guy. He was always cheerful and good-natured. He came to the aid of everyone who asked him," said the mother of the fallen warrior, Olha. "Relatives and friends remember Serhii as a comprehensively developed, active, open person, a very reliable comrade and a devoted patriot," the community added. The National Guard soldier was buried in his hometown. Serhii is survived by his parents, sister, and wife.
