Serhii I. Moseichuk (Ivanych)

Sergeant Serhii Moseichuk (call sign Ivanich) was killed on July 20, 2023, while performing his official duties in the Kharkiv region. He was 55 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Velyka Tsvilia, Zhytomyr region. He obtained the profession of a welder at the Novohrad-Volynskyi technical school. He lived with his family in the Kyiv region. He worked in his specialty in the city of Slavuta. He was passionate about gardening and construction. In March 2022, the man joined the defense of his Motherland. He joined the 28th separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of commander of a rifle squad. He fought in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. "I am the only niece of the fallen hero. Yes, a Hero, because he deserves this title, unfortunately, posthumously. A person with a capital letter, who without hesitation, together with his son, went to defend his Motherland immediately after the invasion. Serhii fought in the Bakhmut direction, came out of the encirclement, from under the shelling, with a comrade-in-arms in his arms, whom he carried to the last and who remained alive... I thank all the heroes, a deep bow to them, who held the sky!" - wrote Olha Fedorenko. The defender was buried in the village of Kalinivka in the Kyiv region, where he lived with his family. Serhii is survived by his wife, three sons, a niece, other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.
