- Born on November 25, 1977, in the village of Rososha, Lyubovetsky District, Vinnytsia Oblast. Graduated from the general education school in the village of Rososha. Since the 1990s, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Graduated from the Kyiv Military Institute of Management and Communications. Served in the 93rd Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302 (field post V2830), the urban-type settlement of Cherkaskoye, Novomoskovsk District, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast), with the last position being the head of the radio center. Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 25, 2014, Captain Shevchuk was killed by a direct hit from a shell in a communication vehicle in the area of the village of Dzerkalne, Amvrosiivskyi District, Donetsk Oblast. Since then, the officer was considered missing in action. He was buried as an unknown soldier at the Krasnopil Cemetery in the city of Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro). Identified through DNA testing. On October 9, 2014, he was reburied at the cemetery in the city of Novomoskovsk, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
