Serhii I. Troian (Troian)

Sergeant Serhii Troian was killed on November 3, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Krynky in the Kherson region. The warrior was 44 years old. Serhii was born in Mariupol, Donetsk region. He obtained two higher education degrees at the Pryazovskyi State Technical University: in the specialties of "Welding Engineer" and "Economist". He worked at the Illich Metallurgical Plant. "At the age of 8-10, the son helped in the kitchen, as I went to accounting courses after work, and my husband was a bus driver. We returned home late, and there was always food prepared by Serhii. He loved and valued his family very much. He was calm and balanced. He respected my husband, even though he was not his biological father. He was a loving son. He always tried to achieve his goal. Colleagues respected Serhii for his fairness," said his mother Alla Troian. Since 2014, Serhii Troian lived in Brovary, Kyiv region. He worked as the director of a furniture store network. In 2015, he registered the trademark "Super Wardrobe". He was engaged in the production and sale of furniture in Kyiv. Together with his wife, he raised two sons. During the full-scale invasion, Serhii served in the 38th Separate Marine Brigade. He was the commander of a machine in the assault landing platoon of the assault landing company. "Serhii loved to read, cooked deliciously, and dreamed of opening his own restaurant by the sea. He was brave and motivated. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he went to the military enlistment office. He considered it an honor to defend Ukraine. He was a faithful friend and comrade. Cheerful, sociable, principled, and loving. He sacrificed his own life to save his guys," his wife Tetiana said. The warrior is survived by his wife, two sons, mother, and younger brother. Serhii Troian was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
