- Serhii Bohdan (call sign "Beaver), a soldier, was killed on March 3, 2023, in a battle near the village of Dibrova in the Luhansk region. The defender was 36 years old. Serhii was from the village of Druzhnia in the Kyiv region. He lived in the capital from an early age. He studied at school No. 262. In 2005, he graduated from the Kyiv Geological Exploration Technical School, obtaining the qualification of a geophysical technician. Later, he graduated from the Kyiv State University of Information and Communication Technologies. He worked as a logistics specialist in the supply department of the "KEN-PAK" company. He repeatedly received thanks and awards from the management for his conscientious attitude to work. He loved the forest and outdoor recreation. He was passionate about football. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Serhii took up the defense of the capital and the region, joining the local Territorial Defense Forces. He held the position of a rifleman in the 244th separate battalion of the 112th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "My son is a very kind and bright child. He always cared for everyone, supported them, and was always positive, gathering friends around him. He had authority among his comrades. He was brave, genuine, never complained, and never let anyone down. At work, they loved and respected Serhii. And when enemy aircraft flew and shells exploded on February 24, he didn't think twice, took an assault rifle, and went to defend us. He said, 'So that they don't run and hide from these...' He had a lot of plans, wanted to get married, have a family, and children. He loved children very much and cared for his nephew Artem. My son, how is it that you abandoned all your dreams? We miss you so much, we want to see you smiling, hug you and never let go. We miss you so much, OUR HERO," the mother of the fallen soldier wrote. The defender was buried at the Berkovetskyi cemetery in Kyiv. Serhii is survived by his mother Larysa, brother Maksym with his wife Valeriia, and nephew Artem.
