Serhii L. Shynkaruk (Malyi)

Soldier Serhiy Shynkaruk (call sign Small) was killed on September 16, 2022, in a battle with the enemy near the village of Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. The defender was 34 years old. Serhiy was born in the village of Kopachivka in Volyn region. He graduated from the local secondary school. Immediately after graduation, he started working. At the age of 23, he got married and lived with his beloved in the village of Oleksandrivka in Volyn. To provide for his family, he began going to Poland for work. He was interested in football and loved fishing, later taking his children with him. During the full-scale war, Serhiy joined the ranks of the airborne assault troops. He was the senior gunner of the anti-tank platoon in the fire support company of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade. "The best dad for his daughters and a beloved husband. Kind and always willing to help, he always assisted me with household tasks. He also always helped all acquaintances and friends. He was the life of the party," said the wife of the fallen, Ivanna. The paratrooper was buried in his hometown. At home, Serhiy was awaited by his mother, wife, and two daughters.
