- Sergeant Serhii Stukalenko (call sign Fortunate) was killed on January 3, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. The soldier was 54 years old. Serhii was born in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. He obtained a secondary education. He worked in the fire department, then as a security guard at the Starokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant. For the last 20 years, he worked in the open-hearth shop of the Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant. When the full-scale war began, the man evacuated his family to Lviv, and the next day he went to the military enlistment office. Later, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He held the position of senior driver-grenadier of the anti-aircraft missile platoon of the mechanized battalion. During his service, he received the medals "Veteran of War" and "For Service to the State." "Daddy, you are forever in our hearts. You are a true hero. I still can't believe it. I love you very much, dad. You are the best dad in the world! I'm sorry I rarely told you that," wrote the daughter of the fallen soldier. The military was buried on the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in his hometown. Serhii is survived by his wife Alla, daughter Kateryna, grandchildren Dmytro and Ivan, and other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
