Serhii M. Bozheskul

Serviceman Serhii Bozheskul died on March 6, 2023 in a battle with the occupiers near the settlement of Spirne in the Donetsk region. Four days before this, the defender turned 51 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Hodyliv, Chernivtsi region. He received secondary education at Chernivtsi Secondary School No. 11, and after the 9th grade he studied at Velykokuchurivska School. He worked as a long-distance driver all his life. He loved the Ukrainian nature very much. He liked to travel, find a quiet place and enjoy it. He was fascinated by various antique things and history. During the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his native country. He fought as part of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. "The father was an extraordinarily kind person, he never refused anyone. The soul of the company, a patriot, had a great sense of humor, a caring man and a father. Responsible, never let anyone down, adored his wife and was always proud of his children. In the first days of the full-scale war, he drove to Kyiv with humanitarian aid because he was very worried about the people. Near Bakhmut, he saved a dog, with whom he spent 9 months, and a week before the father's death, thanks to volunteers, we took the dog to Chernivtsi. We are all proud of our hero. There are no and will never be such as him," said the deceased's daughter Yulia. "Brave, kind, always smiling, ready to help - this is how he will forever remain in the memory of his mother, wife, children, fellow villagers, comrades-in-arms and friends. He loved life very much and gave it for our peace and tranquility," wrote the head of the Velykokuchurivska community, Vasyl Toderenсhuk. The defender was buried in the village of Velykyi Kuchurov, Chernivtsi region. Serhii is survived by his mother, sister, wife, son, daughter and grandson.
