Serhii M. Holoborodko

Senior Sergeant Serhiy Holoborodko was killed in action on July 17, 2022, during mortar shelling near the city of Marinka in Donetsk region. Serhiy was born in the village of Stetsivka, Cherkasy region. He finished school here, from here he was called up for military service, after which he returned to his native village. For many years he worked in the Zvenyhorodka fire department, holding the position of commander of the department. He was responsible, decisive, reliable and brave in his work. In communication with colleagues, he was kind, sociable, honest. He was a leader and knew how to lead. According to colleagues, Serhiy was a golden person with a big and kind heart. When the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine began, the man was mobilized into the 24th border guard unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The defender was buried in his native village. Serhiy left behind a wife and three children.
