- Junior Lieutenant, 37-year-old Serhiy Hrebnyuk, was killed on March 11, 2022, during an artillery shelling of Chernihiv city. At that time, the enemy hit the command post of the headquarters, and the man received shrapnel wounds to his chest and heart. Serhiy Hrebnyuk was born in the city of Ichnya in Chernihiv region. In 2001, he graduated from the city gymnasium named after S. Vasylchenko. He loved history and law very much. Later, he stu at the Chernihiv State Institute of Economics and Management and wanted to be a lawyer. He then enrolled in the Kyiv National University of Internal Affairs. He held various positions: a state executive in the department of DVS in Chernihiv city, a specialist in the general department of the Chernihiv District State Administration, an intern with a private notary. In 2010, he passed the qualification exam to engage in notarial activities. He held the position of head of the Nizhyn District Notary Office, and from 2015, he practiced privately. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he went to the military enlistment office and signed up as a volunteer. He served in the ranks of the 119th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade as the duty officer of the command post of the headquarters. "Honest, sincere, incredibly kind and empathetic, a bright and decent person. He was always dedicated to his work. He was a true patriot," say his comrades-in-arms, friends, and colleagues about Serhiy Hrebnyuk. The defender was buried on March 15, 2022, in the village of Kyinka in Chernihiv region. He is survived by his parents, wife, son, and other relatives. One of the streets in his hometown was renamed in his honor.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
