Serhii M. Hussidi (Polumia)

Husiidi Serhii Mykolaiovych was born on March 2, 1981, in the village of Kyriakivka, Mykolaiv district, Mykolaiv region. He completed his military service in 2000. He was involved in sports, particularly swimming, and was a specialist in marksmanship and hand-to-hand combat. In 2006, he graduated from Mykolaiv V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State University, after which he worked as a lecturer teaching "Defense of the Motherland," "Marksmanship," and "Hand-to-Hand Combat" at the university's military training department for 2 years. From 2008 to May 2014, he was a teacher of "Defense of the Motherland" and physical education at Mykolaiv School No. 10. From August 2, 2014, to August 2015, he served as a platoon commander in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, and participated in combat operations in the ATO zone. He defended the Donetsk Airport and took part in other combat operations in the Donbas. From October 2015, he worked as a teacher at School No. 6 in Mykolaiv and headed the city public organization "ATO Participants and Disabled." After the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022, he returned to the 90th Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and took the position of platoon commander. He was killed on May 16, 2022, near the city of Vuhledar, Donetsk region.
