Serhii M. Koshovyi (Kosh)

Soldier Serhii Koshovyi (call sign Kosh) died on July 17, 2023, during an enemy mortar attack near the village of Bila Hora in Donetsk region. The defender was 39 years old. Serhii was born in Kyiv. He graduated from secondary school No. 232. He studied at the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, had incomplete higher education. In civilian life, he worked in a real estate company. In February 2023, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 401st separate rifle battalion. He held the position of a rifleman. "Dear son, you dreamed of a happy, peaceful future for your family and country, and so much more could have been ahead of you... You will always live in our hearts, now you are protecting us from heaven. You remained the best son, brother, and courageous warrior. You have already been to hell, now continue your life in paradise. We love, remember, mourn, you are with us forever, our heavenly KOSH," wrote the parents of the fallen Vira Ivanivna and Mykola Anatoliiovych. Serhii was buried at the Berkovets cemetery in the capital. He is survived by his parents, brother, and daughter. The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd degree.
