Serhii M. Kucheruk (Kucher)

Sergeant Sergiy Kucheruk (call sign Kucher) came under enemy mortar fire on January 18, 2024 in Marinka, Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 27 years old. Sergiy was from the village of Stary Dorogyn, Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Cooperative College of Business and Law, where he obtained the qualification of a programmer. In civilian life, he worked as a foreman at the construction company "Dominant" in the village of Zarichany. In his free time, he was involved in sports, was interested in military affairs, and studied. During the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade to defend Ukraine. "Sergiy was very calm in character, I would even say shy. He never had any conflicts with anyone. He himself said that it was not for him, that he did not know how to do it. Instead, he always helped everyone," said his wife Kateryna. Sergiy was buried in the village of Holovenko, where he lived. The defender left behind his parents, sisters, and wife.
