Serhii M. Moroz (Klouzer)

Captain Serhii Moroz (call sign Clouser) was killed on February 10, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Bohoiavlenka in the Donetsk region. The officer was 44 years old. Serhii was born in the city of Myrhorod, Poltava region. He lived in Kyiv. He obtained three higher education degrees, graduating from the Kyiv Institute of International Economics and Entrepreneurship, the Kyiv International University of Civil Aviation, and the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine. In civilian life, he worked as a sales director and a marketer. He loved the theater very much and completed acting courses. He adored reading. He was interested in the architecture and history of Kyiv. He could tell a lot about Podil. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Serhii defended Ukraine as part of the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. He was the deputy commander for logistics. "I'll say this: I was envious of myself that he chose me. With him, I lived and breathed. With him, I was happy. With him, I was. He was my whole life. And his smile disarmed. I loved, love, and will love him forever," said the officer's wife, Alina. The defender was buried in Kyiv. Serhii is survived by his wife and brother.
