Serhii M. Pievniev

43-year-old soldier Serhii Pievniev was killed on June 22, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. The fighter received fatal injuries during enemy artillery and mortar shelling. Serhii was born in the city of Vilnohirsk, Dnipropetrovsk region. In 2000, he moved to the city of Verkhnodniprovsk. He worked at a local machine-building plant as a welder of metal structures. He was married. In his free time, he loved fishing, walking, and cooking delicious meals for his family. During the full-scale war, in February 2023, the man was mobilized into the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 4th Brigade of Special Purpose named after Sergeant Serhii Mykhalchuk, Hero of Ukraine. He was a grenadier. "Serhii was a very kind, sensitive, fair, and caring man and father. He always helped his loved ones, acquaintances, and colleagues. He was not afraid of any work, he was hardworking. He never refused to help friends or colleagues, he found time for everyone. After the call from the military commissariat in February 2023, without hesitation, he gathered and left, signed the summons, and immediately went to the training center. He loved his family and his Motherland," said the wife of the deceased. The National Guard soldier was buried in the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in the city of Verkhnodniprovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region. At home, Serhii was waited for by his wife Tetiana and son Oleksandr.
