Serhii M. Pochep

50-year-old senior soldier Serhii Pochep was killed on January 9, 2023 in battle with the occupants in the area of Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region. The defender's life was cut short by enemy artillery shelling. Serhii was born in the village of Vatsi, Poltava region. He lived in Poltava. He graduated from vocational school No. 3. In civilian life, he worked as a driver at PJSC "Poltavaoblenergo". He was passionate about motorcycles and was a biker. He loved to read. During the full-scale war, the man became a fighter of the 13th separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a rifleman. "Serhii was a sociable and cheerful person, he loved to joke. All acquaintances fondly remember him now. He was always proud that he was born in Ukraine, he loved his Motherland. The blue and yellow flag was an invariable attribute on his motorcycle and in his car," his wife Larysa said. The warrior was buried in the village of Zaturyne, Poltava region. Serhii is survived by his parents, wife, daughter from his first marriage, and sister.
