Biography
Serhii Mykolaiovych Rudnytskyi was born on January 2, 1978 in the urban-type settlement of Onufriivka, Kirovohrad region. After graduating from the 9th grade of the Onufriivka secondary school, he entered the Bobrynets Agricultural College named after V. Poryk. He then studied at the Kharkiv National Agrarian University named after V.V. Dokuchaiev, at the Faculty of Plant Protection. With the outbreak of the war in Eastern Ukraine in 2014, he served in the volunteer battalion of the special police patrol service "Kirovohrad". In early 2015, he was drafted into the ranks of the 90th separate airmobile battalion of the 81st separate airmobile brigade of the airborne assault troops, took part in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Eastern Ukraine. He held the military positions of gunner, platoon commander of the airmobile airborne platoon. In 2016, he was wounded but continued to serve under contract. Serhii Rudnytskyi was awarded the distinction of the President of Ukraine "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation" and a certificate of honor. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was mobilized and was at the forefront. On April 5, 2022, he was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. He took part in battles in the Luhansk region. He held the position of senior sergeant of the fire support company. He was killed on November 7, 2022 during an artillery shelling near the village of Bilohorivka, Sievierodonetsk district, Luhansk region. He was buried on November 11, 2022 in his native town.Burial place
