Serhii M. Seriohin (Uzh)

22-year-old soldier Serhiy Seryohin (call sign Uzh) was killed in action on June 17, 2022, during battles with the occupiers in the Donetsk region. Near the town of Marinka, the defender received a fatal injury during an enemy rocket attack. Serhiy was born in the city of Dovzhansk, Luhansk region. After graduating from school, he received a profession as a welder at the Kremensky Professional Lyceum. He was fond of sports, particularly loved playing football. He dreamed of creating his own family, buying a house, traveling the world, and loved spending time with his nieces. At the beginning of 2019, the guy went to serve under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a grenade launcher in the 54th separate mechanized brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. During the full-scale war, he continued to defend Donbass. "My son was cheerful and kind. He always believed that we would win, stand up, and definitely return to our homes," said Victoria, the mother of the serviceman. The fighter was buried in Ivano-Frankivsk, where his family moved, fleeing the war. Serhiy left behind his mother and brother.
