Serhii M. Sokolov

Sergiy Mykolayovych Sokolov was born in the city of Sumy. After completing his mandatory military service, he continued his military career with the 27th Reactive Artillery Brigade named after the Cossack Ataman Petro Kalnyshensky. Since 2014, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Eastern Ukraine. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was on the front lines. He was killed on March 16, 2022, as a result of a military vehicle detonating on a mine during battles for the city of Mykolaiv. The farewell ceremony took place on March 19, 2022, at the Baranivka Cemetery in the city of Sumy.
