Serhii O. Bolharchuk (Dok)

Combat medic Serhiy Bolharchuk (call sign Doc) was killed on October 1, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Lyubymivka in the Kherson region. The warrior was 26 years old. Serhiy was born in the settlement of Zavalya in the Kirovohrad region. He stu at the local comprehensive school. He then graduated from the Savransk Professional Technical Lyceum, obtaining the profession of electric gas welder. Before the war, he worked as a loader driver at a quarry in Kremenchuk. With the onset of the full-scale war, Serhiy volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In March 2022, he was assigned to the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. After completing training, he mastered the profession of a combat medic and went to the front lines. He repeatedly saved the lives of his comrades at the front. For his achievements and courage, he was awarded the rank of Junior Sergeant. “Serhiy was a kind, brave, loving, and cheerful person. He was eager to live and had many plans for the future. He wanted to study architecture after the war. He always came to help and had many friends. He was an optimist, constantly smiling and joking. I will never forget that smile. He was a good husband and father. He loved his little son and tried to do everything to ensure he had a happy childhood. When Serhiy was granted leave on September 18, 2022, we got married, but unfortunately, we spent very little time together as a married couple. We celebrated our son's birthday and thought that so much awaited us in life, but one day everything changed... And this damned war took away my beloved husband forever, and a loving father from our child. Now he will remain only in our hearts and thoughts. We miss him very much. Rest in peace, our Hero. Eternal memory,” said the wife of the fallen soldier, Natalia. The serviceman was buried in his hometown. At home, he was awaited by his mother, younger sister, wife, son, grandmother, and grandfather.
