Serhii O. Bychkov

41-year-old soldier Serhii Bychkov was killed on October 13, 2022 near the village of Oskil in the Kharkiv region. During the performance of a combat mission, the fighter received fatal injuries as a result of detonation on an enemy anti-tank mine. Serhii was born in Kharkiv. He studied at the local secondary school No. 103. Then he graduated from the Kharkiv Vocational School No. 33, where he obtained the qualification of a 4th grade car mechanic. He worked as a driver at a company that was engaged in cargo deliveries from China. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Serhii defended Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a serviceman of the 115th separate mechanized brigade. "Serhii (as many of his friends called him) was a very honest, kind, educated, strong, brave and patriotic person. He sent his family to a safe place, because Kharkiv was heavily shelled from the first days. And he himself went to the military enlistment office to defend his Homeland!", said the wife of the fallen Olha. The fighter was buried on the Alley of Glory in his native Kharkiv. Serhii is survived by his wife and two sons.
