Serhii O. Fediaiev

46-year-old shooter Serhii Fediaiev was killed on November 5, 2022 during the deoccupation of the Kharkiv region. The next day, Ukrainian defenders liberated the settlement for which the serviceman gave his life. Serhii was born and raised in the town of Hirnyk, Donetsk region, in a family of miners. He graduated from the local school. He served his mandatory military service. Then he moved to the Sumy region, where he settled in the village of Novopetrivka. There he met Olena, the couple fell in love and lived in a happy marriage for 14 years. They raised children. Later, the family moved to Serhii's hometown, where he got a job at a mine. When the full-scale war began, the man joined the ranks of one of the units of the Donetsk territorial defense forces. He took part in battles against the occupiers in his native Donbas, and then, together with his comrades-in-arms, set out to liberate the Kharkiv region. "Such a terrible price for victories! Ukraine has lost its brave defender and patriot... May the Lord receive your soul into the Heavenly Kingdom, our glorious Warrior. We will cherish the memory of you in our hearts and prayers... We will never forgive the enemy for the deaths of Ukrainians in this cruel and unjust war!" - noted in the Romny community. The defender was buried in the Sumy region. Serhii is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
