Serhii O. Hromak (Zyma)

43-year-old police sergeant Serhii Hromak (call sign Winter) was killed on October 21, 2023, in the area of the settlement of Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission and helping to evacuate his comrades-in-arms, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy shelling. Serhii was born and lived in Lysychansk, Luhansk region. He graduated from the Lysychansk Mining and Industrial College. Since 2021, he has been participating in the Joint Forces Operation, serving in the 46th Separate Assault Battalion "Donbas" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought near the city of Marinka in the Donetsk region. During the full-scale invasion, the man defended his native country in the ranks of the united assault brigade of the National Police of Ukraine "Fury". "His goal was to liberate our country from traitors and occupiers. He loved his family very much, especially his daughter, who was born four months before his death. He wanted his children to live in a free and independent country. This was the meaning of his life," said the wife of the fallen Olena. The warrior was buried at the Krasnopilskyi cemetery in Dnipro. Serhii is survived by his mother, wife, and two daughters.
