Serhii O. Leonov

Serviceman Serhii Leonov was killed on January 7, 2023, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region. The fighter was 24 years old. Serhii was born and lived in the village of Zhenishkivtsi, Khmilnytskyi region. He stuwas killed at the Hovorivskyi Vocational School. Then he was drafted into the regular military service. After demobilization, he returned home. He traveled to Poland to work. He dreamed of buying an apartment in Khmilnytskyi and starting a family. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Serhii joined the local territorial defense. Later, he received a summons and became a serviceman of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Our Serhii was very cheerful, smiling, and kind. He had a lot of friends. Serhii was the soul of the company. We miss him very much," said the deceased Lesya's aunt. "We share your grief, mourn the loss of our fellow countryman. Deep bow. Eternal memory and the Kingdom of Heaven to our fallen defender!" - noted in the Vinkivtsi settlement council. The military was buried in his native village. Serhii is survived by his grandmother, mother, younger sister, and relatives.
